Eye and Eye round sling

An eye and eye round sling (double eye round sling) is a round-section synthetic lifting sling with two sewn soft eyes at both ends. Its load-bearing core is formed by continuous filament polyester yarns enclosed in a woven polyester cover; each end is folded back and closed with heavy-duty multiple-row stitching to form a soft eye, giving the sling two defined attachment points.

Compared with an endless loop, the round sling with eyes can be hooked directly onto crane hooks or connected to shackles quickly and securely, without threading the whole sling through the hook. The round body stays soft and conformable, spreading pressure over a large contact area so delicate and irregular loads are not damaged. They are widely used in heavy machinery, steel structures, wind power, ports & marine, oil & gas and general industrial lifting.

Custom WLL from 1T to 100T (above on request), any length and customizable eye size are available, with OEM/ODM service supported.

8. Inspection & Maintenance

Pre-Use Inspection

• Check the label: WLL, length, batch number and validity must be legible and complete.

• Check the eyes for broken or pulled stitches, fraying or distortion — the eyes are the most stressed parts.

• Check the cover for cuts, abrasion, fraying or exposed core yarns.

• Check for heat damage (melting, hardening) or chemical attack.

• Check that the eye size still fits the hook or shackle properly without jamming.

Discard Criteria (remove from service immediately if any occurs)

• Broken or exposed core, or major cover damage.

• Damaged eye stitching, torn eyes or deformed eye shape.

• Heat or chemical damage affecting strength.

• Missing or illegible label.

• After overload, shock loading or a lifting incident.

Usage & Storage

• Never knot the sling, drag it on the ground or exceed the rated WLL.

• Do not force the eye over an undersized hook tip; use a shackle if needed.

• Protect sharp edges with corner protectors or sleeves.

• Store in a dry place away from sunlight, chemicals and heat sources.

• Carry out periodic inspection and record keeping per EN/ASME standards.
